Dr. Mausumi Sikdar (nee Bhakta) graduated from the
University of Calcutta in 1988. She obtained the M.Sc.
degree from the University of Calcutta in 1990. She
stood first class first in the M.Sc. Examination and
her area of specialization was Immunology & Microbiology.
She started her work of staphylococcal antibiotic
resistance and obtained her Ph.D. degree from the
University of Bardwan in 2005. She joined the WBES
on 28th July, 1998 at the Hooghly Mohsin College,
Hooghly as Lecturer in Physiology. She joined Department
of Physiology, Presidency College, Calcutta on 24th
July, 2007 as Lecturer (Senior Scale).
