research career as a JRF in the Department of Geological
Sciences, Jadavpur University, Calcutta, on “Copper
Ore Mineralization in a volcanosedimentary succession
of the Chitradurga Greenstone Belt (Archean), southern
India”.
• Continued
research on different aspects of greenstone belt evolution
after the submission of Ph.D. thesis. Adopted post-doctoral
research projects on Sulphide Ore Minralization in
Aravalli Mountain Belt, Rajasthan, North Singhbhum
Fold Belt, Jharkhand and Cuddapah Basin in Andhra
Prodesh.
• Took
special interest in sedimentological research on Paleozoic
Glacial Beds of Talchir Formation and glacio-marine
interactive system.
• Presently
engaged with two international research projects,
one is a INDO-SOUTH AFRIKAN collaborative project
on origin of BIF hosted iron ores of India and South
Afrika, funded by DST, New Delhi and the other is
on Pb-Zn sulphide mineralization of Zawar and other
deposits of Rajasthan in collaboration with Center
for Ore Deposit Research, Tasmania University, funded
by CODES.
