Research Interest
Igneous Petrology, Geochemistry – presently working on Flow stratigraphy, Petrology, geochemistry paleomagnetism (collaboration with Dr.S.K.Patil of IIG) of Deccan Traps of westernmost and eastern Deccan Province; also working on mantle metasomatism, mantle heterogeneity and lithosphere-plume interaction in relation to magma generation in Continetal Flood Basalt Province, Upper mantle xenoliths in alkali basalt. Stratigraphic status and petrologic character of and Archean basic- ultrabasic volcanic rocks of Singbhum region.
