RESEARCH
Ph D Programme under research schemes sponsored
by several funding agencies (DST, CSIR, UGC etc) in the
following thrust areas:
Time resolved emission studies with special emphasis on
photo-induced electron transfer and energy transfer in supramolecular
systems and in protein-drug interaction, protein-protein
interaction, protein- small molecule interaction; Protein
folding and structural aspects of proteins; Nano composites
based on some conducting polymers; Synthetic organic chemistry;
Analytical chemistry with emphasis on analysis and removal
of toxic materials; Co-ordination chemistry. At present
the department has 18 full-time and 7 part-time research
fellows (JRF/SRF).
