Academic Profile
BSc (Presidency College Kolkata, 1974), MSc (Calcutta University, 1976), recipient of University Gold Medal and Bhubana Mohini Gold Medal; PhD (Calcutta University, 1990) under the supervision of Professor Nirmal K. Sinha at Bose Institute, Kolkata, postdoctoral research with Professor C. Fred Brewer at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York, USA (1990-1993); joined the West Bengal Educational Service as a Lecturer in 1980 and became a Professor of Chemistry (WBSES) in 1997.
