1984 - B.ScPart(Botany Hons) Presidency College, Kolkata, Calcurtta University - 1st Class.
1986 - M.Sc (Botany) specialisation in Plant Physiology & Biochemistry, Ballygunge Science College, Kolkata, Calcutta University - 1st Class.

A total period of more than 17 years in West Bengal Education Service in the following colleges taught Botany Hons. and Pass in U.G. and P.G. Level, especially Plant Physiology and Biochemistry, Cryptogamic Botany, evolution.
1990 - 1995: A.B.N. Seal College, Cooch Behar
1995 - 2002: Jhargram Raj College, Jhargram
2002 - 2006: Barasat Govt. College, Barasat
2006 -Till date: Presidency College, Kolkata

Research Experience
Two years research experience in Plant Tissue Culture and Cytogenetics of medicinal plants in Prof. S. Sen's Lab in Centre of Advanced Studies in Botany, Calcutta University. 2. More than five years research experience in the Crop Impro--vement of Foder crop under sustainable condition of West Midnapore District, West bengal, in the Plant Physiology and Biochemistry Lab of Dr. Aloke Bhattarjee, Ex Reader and Head Dept. Of Botany and Forestry, Vidyasagar University and presently Professor, Department of Botany, Burdwan University.

Areas of Interest
Study of Bioherbicide potential of different plants and to increase    there accumulation in the source plants
Study of post harvest physiology of different fruits, vegetables, cut    flowers etc.
Sustainable productivity of fodder crops
Introduction of unfamiliar crops to the borderline vegetation to    check desertification.
