The Department feels the importance of understanding the value and relevance of the subject in different field of studies and practices. Hence various programmes such as seminars and debates have been initiated to inculcate an attitude of involvement and responsibility of students.
The students are frequently made aware of the versatile possibilities of the subject by classroom discussion and interaction outside the classroom. To make the classes attractive the faculty uses different audio-visual teaching aids like OHP, models, charts, etc.
The faculty takes special classes, tutorials in its own capacity and organizations like FAEA effectively assists us to upgrade the status of the underprivileged students. The students’ performance in University Examination is the most important target in our purview. Some classes are taught by guest lecturers of other departments. The students thereby acquire an interdisciplinary point of view. With the financial assistance of FAEA some students got the opportunity to attend a residential course on personality development at A.T.I., Govt. of West Bengal, for raising confidence level and exposure of their potentialities.
